Thin Wood Veil
Three sharp knocks on on a veil of wood.
Naked and blind, in darkness I stood
I heard the call from within my heart,
and upon this path I did embark.
As I stumbled in, led by my guide.
I knew that God was at my side.
Steering me on to the path of light,
With a thunder clap, I regained my sight.
And amongst the the faces , then unknown,
Shone the letter “G” above a Throne.
I was given tools and set to work,
and certain duties I could not shirk.
Then back I went, from whence I came.
To complete my task was my only aim.
Three sharp knocks on a veil of wood,
And on that night, I understood.
Anchored firmly to the shore,
My days of darkness, would be no more.
A lambskin apron of flawless white,
Now girds my loins, a beacon of light.
To my lower self, a line’s been drawn,
All impure thoughts and deeds are gone.
Then up the stairs I did ascend,
My mind ablaze with what I’ve kenned.
Make straight the paths, the time is near!
A good man made better will soon appear!
Three sharp knocks on a veil of wood,
I will soon be a part, of this great Brotherhood.
From the mortal blow of the Setting Maul,
To the S***** G*** of the L***** P**.
I died that day and rose again!!
And from the darkness , I did emerge,
Of my former self, I had been purged.
On this new course, I will set sail.
For on this side of that thin wood veil,
I stand upright, I did prevail!
Oh to be a part of that house of stone,
While on this earth, still flesh and bone.
From west to east, the path was laid,
And for my labors, my wages paid.
